May 9, 2001 NYC. LiquidBody Inc. receives Articles of Incorporation from the State of New York as a nonprofit corporation.
Lights Up At Dixon Place
June 16, 2001. As part of the Warning, Not For Broadway festival of new musical theater works at Dixon Place, LiquidBody Media collaborates with theater director Richard S. Bach and composer Nana Simopoulos in a staged reading of Matrix Maison - a cyberopera under development. Two video collage sequences are projected in preparation for a larger work which will also include virtual sets and interactive web sites.
A New Group of Extraordinary Dancers
May 31, 2001 NYC. LiquidBody Dance begins rehearsals with a new group of extra-ordinary dancers for the world premiere of Primal Resonance at Jacob’s Pillow August 17th. Kevin Kortan, formerly of Trisha Brown, Alyssa Dodson from Martha Graham, and Elizabeth Bright join Caryn Heilman to create a powerful work about the resonance of the body.

Donations Tax-Deductible
July 1, 2001 Skadden, Arps. Wei-Li Tjong, LiquidBody’s hot, young lawyer, files the 501(c)3 tax exemption form with the IRS so that LB can accept tax deductible donations. This world premiere performance of Primal Resonance brings LiquidBody Dance together with the lush wooded setting of the Berkshire mountains, quantum physics, audience participation and the evocative live world fusion music of Nana Simopoulos' commissioned score.
