Lights
Up At Dixon Place
June 16, 2001. As part of the Warning, Not For Broadway
festival of new musical theater works at Dixon Place, LiquidBody Media
collaborates with theater director Richard S. Bach and composer Nana
Simopoulos in a staged reading of Matrix Maison - a cyberopera under
development. Two video collage sequences are projected in preparation
for a larger work which will also include virtual sets and interactive
web sites. |

New Group of Extraordinary Dancers
May 31, 2001 NYC. LiquidBody Dance begins rehearsals with a new group
of extra-ordinary dancers for the world premiere of Primal Resonance
at Jacobs Pillow August 17th. Kevin Kortan, formerly of Trisha
Brown, Alyssa Dodson from Martha Graham, and Elizabeth Bright join
Caryn Heilman to create a powerful work about the resonance of the
body. |

Tax-Deductible
July 1, 2001 Skadden, Arps. Wei-Li Tjong, LiquidBodys hot,
young lawyer, files the 501(c)3 tax exemption form with the IRS
so that LB can accept tax deductible donations. In the meantime,
fiscal sponsorship is through The Field. All donations should be
in the form of checks made payable to the Field with a notation

at Jacobs Pillow
August 17, 2001. Becket, MA. This world premiere performance of Primal
Resonance brings LiquidBody Dance together with the lush wooded
setting of the Berkshire mountains, quantum physics, audience participation
and the evocative live world fusion music of Nana Simopoulos' commissioned
score. Live sitar, cello, Middle Eastern percussion, acoustic bass,
didgeridu, glass armonica and the resonant sonic field of six monochords,
two large Balinese gongs and several singing bowls together with expert
movers from the field of Continuum Movement encircle the audience
as the sun and the wind mingle with the movement interplay. From subtle
